A part of the ground is flat and suitable for agriculture, another part is woody, and a part is rocky. The house is on the flat part, as well as a large barn of 200 m². The house is partly made of granite, and has a habitable area of 200 m². This is a perfect place for those who are searching for peace and nature, with all the sheer beauty that comes with it. The nearest (and only) neighbors are about 400 meters. Travancinha is the nearest village, about 2 km away. Here are a few cafes and until recently a village school.
The house consists of a ground floor with three bedrooms and storage areas. With an indoor and outdoor stairs, a mezzanine with the living room can be reached. There is a short staircase to the first floor, with kitchen and bathroom. An outside staircase leads to the upper chamber. The living room, kitchen and upper chamber have chimneys.
There is a rooftop terrace with a view on a concrete swimming basin and the enviroment. The house is habitable but needs refurbishment in order to upgrade with modern features such as double glazing, insulation of roof and walls or central heating. However, there is electricity, telephone and internet. The ground around the house is a flower garden with various plants and trees (including old palm trees). Near the house is also an almond orchard and various fruit trees. The other vegetation consists mainly of oak and pine. The accessibility is moderate. The last 400 meters are quite rocky and thus better suited for a 4x4. Seia and Oliveira do Hospital are about 15 km away. Seia is a medium sized city and Oliveira do Hospital is a smaller town. In both places are all important facilities such as restaurants, shops, supermarkets, post office, banks, medical clinic, schools, vocational education, library, small hospital and weekly market. Seia is also the last place you pass before driving into the Serra da Estrela Natural Park where you can ski in winter.
Larger cities such as Guarda and Viseu are approximately 60 and 40 km away.
