Coast/Beach
Alvor beach, one of the longest, sandiest and most attractive beaches in Europe, 2 minutes drive or 15 minute walk.
Golf
2 minute drive from Alvor's premier golf and country club - Alto Golf - 18 holes, par 72, length 6,125m. Also, Portugal's highly praised championship course and resort of Penina, made famous by Sir Henry Cotton and patronised by many world-wide celebrities, just 10 minutes away. Many other courses suitable for beginners and experienced players alike, easily accessible.

Faro airport 1 hour. Car hire is not essential, but recommended.
