I've heard our home described as "artistic, rustic, gorgeous, an artist's dream, and weird". Never has this home been described as run of the mill. The area is not for the person that wants isolation or to not see local folks having fun. It is located in the Balneario Las Fuentes in Volcan. We are just a couple of blocks from town; a 10 minute walk through the park, or a 2 minute car drive, but you would think you were much farther out. The park is comprised of the small, spring fed lake, the large field across the street where most weekends there is some kind of sport, from soccer to baseball. Across the lake is the Lasso Club. Sunday is cowboy day. Out of the blue, there will appear the most gorgeous horses and riders to compete in the lasso competition. Here, in Volcan, it is a much more humane sport than in the States. The cowboys lasso the calf, but don't throw it to the ground.
The home is over 3000 square feet, with 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths. It is two story with 3 of the bedrooms, and two of the baths upstairs. The big upstairs master suite (16' x 15') has it's own private full bathroom, and the other two bedrooms share a bathroom. The two downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom, as well. This is a Panamanian built house, so there are some unique features such as two "studies", one upstairs and one downstairs. There is a beautiful formal living room, and the kitchen and dining rooms are large, even to American standards. I've always thought this home would make a wonderful B & B, but that's not for me...it could be for you, though! We are gardeners, so the front circular drive way is loaded with begonias, heliconia, bird of paradise, orchids, and a wonderful, huge Mango tree. The other side of the house also has a beautiful garden filled with blooming flowers and vines. The front porch is very large with an orchid covered wall.
If this weren't enough, the home is located on over 2 1/2 acres! We have built a stable for the horses, but it could be used as the frame work for another house. At the top of the hill there is a wonderful view of a tree farm on one side, and a view of the field on the other. It would make an unbelievable house site. You can even see Volcan Baru from up there...not that I am advertising "Baru vistas". I have cleared a huge lot at the far end of the property that could be sold, or developed by you.
The road to the home is paved, which is hard to find here. This property is titled and in the name of our corporation. It is being sold with refrigerator, washer and dryer (gas), and stove (gas) included. We will also have some furniture available for sale.
The only reason we are selling is because we need more land for the horses. Even though the land where the horses are is barren, it is filled with organic fertilizer (if you know what I mean), and will flourish with very little care.
We have no problem in accepting Euros instead of USD.
